Where to Buy Your Wedding Invitation Envelopes & Paper

Ok friend, I’m going to let you in on a big secret. The places I order my invitation paper and envelopes from don’t just take orders from wedding professionals anymore! You can order high quality paper supplies for your invitations in nearly any color you can imagine at reasonable prices. Below are two of my tried and true paper companies, and my favorite things to buy at each place:

LCI Paper

I remember the day I discovered this company, it seriously changed my business. I couldn’t believe I could buy all these things from one place, and even get the envelopes professionally printed without having to take them to a local printer. It was a game changer. I’ve been ordering paper, envelopes, and place cards from them for years now. Below are a few of the things I ordered again and again.

My favorite finds:

Wedding White Euro Flap Envelopes
These envelopes have such an expensive feel to them, I’ve literally had people comment on how nice this envelope is. It’s a great classic high quality envelope that is a great choice for wedding invitations, shower invitations, holiday cards, and birth announcements. Important note: not all colors are as thick as the wedding white, so if you choose a different color be sure to check the thickness at the end of the title (91T may change to 81T or less if you change the color selection).

Kraft cardstock
This is the paper I use on all of the kraft tags and invitations in my Etsy shop. If your printer feeds paper from back to front (i.e. doesn’t need to bend the paper to spit it out the same direction it came from) it can probably handle the 120lb Double Thick Cardstock which is my favorite. If not, you may need to go with the 80lb, but take note that as cardstock goes, it’s pretty lightweight so you may want to order a sample to make sure you are ok with the thickness.

Cards & Pockets

I stumbled across this company when a bride of mine requested laser cut embellishments for her invitations. Like LCI paper, they offer a variety of invitation materials and supplies...and even will print your invitations for you at a very reasonable price! Their turnaround time (especially for printed items) is a little on the long end so be sure you have plenty of time if you decide to source your invitations from them.

My favorite finds:

Opal Envelopes
I call them “champagne envelopes” because their shimmery cream color reminds me of a festive champagne toast! I’ve used these in several suites, they are neutral enough to fit in with a variety of color palettes and their metallic shimmer adds an elegant dimension to your paper projects.

Printed Pocket Sets
It doesn’t get much simpler than this, they print cards to perfectly stack inside their invitation pockets. If we’re designing a custom suite together, you don’t even need to worry about the dimensions. Just tell me how many enclosures you’d like and I’ll take care of the rest!

Laser Belly Bands
I’ve used these on a number of invitation suites, they add such a unique and personalized touch to your invitation set, and create a great first impression from the minute the envelope is opened.

Both of these companies are great resources for high quality paper and envelopes, and offer the option of purchasing samples of everything so you can see it in person before ordering the full quantity. For just a few dollars, you can even order all the shades of your wedding colors and see which one matches your bridesmaids dresses best!  If we’re designing a one-of-a-kind suite together, I can help select a paper color palette that I think will complement your designs perfectly.
